Please note that although my name was on the email, it was a decision made by the TDOG Committee (6 people), not me alone. In hindsight, the email should have been signed by TDOG.

Our love, sympathy and support to the Hyatt family for the loss of their father. Ken (our Vice President) lost his father on Saturday. We are so sorry for your loss -- please have a safe trip to Florida -- we all love you and appreciate all that you do for the park. God bless you -- you have been a wonderfully supportive son and you know that Dad is in a better place. xoxo

Here is what I know about Cody: He is a hound mix. These dogs were initially listed as Treeing Coon Hounds but they are obviously a mix of that plus other types of hound breeds. He is one yr, five months old and weighs approx 60 pounds. His current home includes two children which he is good with. He also currently lives with another dog that he is also good with. He was very good with the group of dogs that were at the rescuers house where he was before being adopted. They do not have…

i'll paraphrase the note i received this morning...penny and charlie are two dogs who love to visit our park, however they have a brother, cody whose owner has given up on. apparently they are not committed to taking the time to train or socialize the dog, and are giving him back. i have sent an email that more fully explains the story, please take a minute to check it out. if you are looking for a companion dog, or know of someone who is, please let me know! thank you. jo ann

i received a call from the park ranger usually assigned to indian ledge; i was looking for some longer-time information regarding the park closing. seems the park suffered the same damage as during irene, so the park will be closed until at least the end of this week.
when i have updated news, i will pass it along quickly.
